National Poetry Day is on October 6th but you can list any poetry event here from now until the end of October. Thousands of people see these listings and it's free to add your event, for thousands of people to see - you can add details of your website or venue.
If you want to use our 'games' theme you could hold an open mic night on the theme of games - word games, mind games, games of chance or board games. You could do a poetry relay, with one poet's last line becoming the next poet's first line. Get library users or children to write about their favourite games, or make a board game in which each 'snake' or 'ladder' leads you to a poem. NPD encompasses festivals and solemn readings - but also competitions, poetry film shows, candlelit poetry evenings, quirky one-off events and global challenges. See our What's On page to find out what other people are doing this year.
We've simplified our input form this year, so all you have to do is start building up an audience. We'll be cherry-picking events to showcase on our Facebook and Twitter pages, so the sooner you tell us the sooner we can spread the word. Make National Poetry Day work for you and help it to be the liveliest yet.
