This year we have a poetry competition for children from 5-14, with prizes kindly donated by Walker Books. You can enter on your own, or if your whole class gets involved the teacher can send off the entries for you. The closing date is Friday November 14th.

There are two age groups: 5-8 years old and 9-14 years old. The ten best 5-8 year olds will win copies of A Crocodile’s Teeth, an anthology of nonsense poems on a range of silly topics.

The ten best 9-14 year olds will win copies of Inside Out, a brand new book of writings by children’s poets.

These prizes have been kindly given to us by Walker Books: have a look at their website to see more exciting titles for children.
